  1. Evaluate:
    1. 4^{-2}
    2. \left(\dfrac{8}{27}\right)^{-\dfrac{2}{3}}
    3. \left(\dfrac{25}{16}\right)^{-\dfrac{3}{2}}
    4. \left(\dfrac{1}{4}\right)^{-\dfrac{1}{2}}

  2. Simplify
    1. 2x^3 \times 3x^{-2}
    2. 8x^{-3} \div 2x^{-\frac{1}{2}}

  3. Solve by factorising:
    1. x^2-9=0
